Now this is more like it, really. ERI Real Estate Services has a pretty handy Search All East Bay Homes link, with data courtesy of IHomefinders. Nice job, folks. Scott Thompson’s site also has a serviceable search interface — providing you’re using Internet Explorer. Firefox users will be disappointed to find that it doesn’t work at all. Perhaps Scott’s webmaster can get that fixed.

Oakland Sites of Interest

Until we can get some real estate search tools of our own, I thought it might be nice to chat about some of our competitors.

Well, Oakland.com is an interesting site in that it’s part of a huge megaconglomerate of City-specific sites. I wish I had one of those. But as usual, if you get quantity, you don’t get much quality. There aren’t really any listings up there, just a form. Hey, presto, that’s what we have, so far at any rate. The good news is that IHomefinders supports the Oakland area, so as soon as you can say “Is my broker a member of this MLS or not, anyways”, you’re going to start seeing real Oakland search tools available right here.
